Another week, another update! And oh boy, do I have a few updates for you:

Indie authors don't get enough credit. I swear, most of the books that I read by indie authors are better than traditionally published books. But, being an indie author isn't easy. Trust me, it's a rewarding experience... but it doesn't come easy for most of us. Here is a list of what I love... and don't love about being an indie author.

Well, we're about halfway through the first month of 2023 (Cue "Halfway Gone" by Lifehouse) and it has been a rollercoaster. Not only am I in the final edits of my new book (coming between March and April) but I began outlining a four-book book series. If you've followed my Twitter, you would've noticed that I had a poll running (I boosted the post because I needed feedback and to also test it out). The poll was for my series' fictional town. I am so excited to announce that my newest Wattpad creation will be coming VERY soon! December 21st to be exact! Just like RIPTIDE and UNEXPECTED , this book started off as a surprise book earlier this month, with hints of the theme dropping every so often. It's also set around the holiday season which is perfect since Christmas is coming up!

If you haven't been keeping up to date on my newest Wattpad book, Riptide ; it has been completed this past week! After just a little over a month of writing it! I really enjoyed writing it and I was blessed to very rarely have writer's block that didn't last more than an hour.

Fun fact: My book "Unexpected" started out as a surprise release on Wattpad ! It was fun so I decided why not do it again?! And so, here we are!

The pre-orders are slowly but surely heading out! I started submitting them this morning so they'd be out by the time the cover reveal happens and some of them are already LIVE! I will not share this blog post on my Twitter like I normally do because that kind of defeats the purpose of the cover reveal coming in a few hours considering that all pre-orders include the cover. The cover reveal is pretty much for the people who ignore me.

I know a lot of writers do this to help get their books out there and to get the reviews rolling in. But I feel the need to explain why I don't do it. And it is really quite simple:

We are now 2/3 through reveal week! Today is the back cover reveal! The front cover will be release this Friday at noon EST. Along with the official release date and pre-order links!

If you couldn't tell, I am terrible at sleeping at night. I'm good at taking a nap once a day and I am able to fall asleep after 3am. I think I really love the peace and quiet of night time. That's not weird, right?

What?! This Friday, I will be finally uploading the cover reveal and I can't even fathom how excited I am! And here's something for my amazing site visitors: You will get access to the cover at exactly 12am on Friday morning EST! Nearly 12 hours before it is posted to any socials. Feel free to join me in the cover reveal. I really am so excited!

Tonight has been fun. (Note the sarcasm.) I've spent a few hours now doing so much research for e-book publications because KDP wasn't taking my file. I figured out that Draft2Digital allows a download that will work on KDP so I did that and it freaking worked!
